  27. TO RUN THE PROGRAM
  28. To install and run the program:
  29.  
  30. -exit from Windows session completely
  31. -from a DOS session make a directory called nwp
  32. -copy nwpdemo.exe to \nwp
  33. -type nwpdemo.exe and press -Enter-
  34. -type nwp.exe and press -Enter-

  37. TO REMOVE THE PROGRAM
  38. To remove the program from your hard drive:
  39. -from DOS command line type "deltree c:\nwp" and press enter, then press 
  40.   "Y" when prompted.
  41. -from Windows 3.1 launch the file manager, position the mouse pointer over 
  42.   the nwp directory and press "Delete".  Confirm if prompted.

  44. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
  45. Operating System:    MS-DOS 6.2 or Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher
  46. Hard Drive Space:    requires about 2.6 Megabytes
  47. Minimum RAM:         640K conventional memory
  48. Video Adapter Type:  VGA or better.  EGA, HGA and MCGA drivers are provided
  49.                                                  but no testing has been done on these 
  50.                                                  and they are not supported.

  52. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT
  53. This program is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  54. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  55. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  56. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  57. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  58. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  59. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  60. useful and find that you are using this program and continue to use
  61. this program after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  62. istration payment of US $ 19.95 to ABC Software.  The US $ 19.95
  63. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  64. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  65. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  66. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  67. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  68. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
  69. Similarly a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  70. same time.

  73. copies of this program within 30 days of first use or their license
  74. is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements especially favorable to educational 
  75. institutions may be arranged by contacting ABC Software.

  78. first contact ABC Software at the address below for authorization.
  79. This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
  80. recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for

  199. SOFTWARE SUPPORT FOR REGISTERED USERS
  200. As a member of ASP our shareware products must include reasonable technical 
  201. support, as part of the purchase price, for a minimum of three months 
  202. from the date of registration.

  204. Support during the initial period is offered through several methods.  This
  205. includes post/snail mail, fax and email.

  208. As a member of ASP the author must answer questions and fix serious bugs 
  209. during the minimum three month period. For problems involving a specific 
  210. hardware or software environment or feature, the author may choose not to 
  211. modify the program. In that case, if a problem is reported within three months 
  212. after purchase, then the author shall offer to refund the user's purchase 
  213. price.

  215. Any money sent to an author to register an unsupported product shall be 
  216. promptly returned with an explanation that the product in question is no 
  217. longer supported.

  219. Known incompatibility with other software or hardware, and major or 
  220. unusual program limitations has been found to be absent from this product,
  221. as far as testing to date can determine.

  223. TECHNICAL SUPPORT
  224. Registered users are entitled to three months of technical support for this 
  225. product, commencing from the date of receipt of registration and full payment

  229. OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT
  230. The ASP Board has set up an office of Ombudsman and appointed an ASP 
  231. member as Ombudsman. The Ombudsman's sole role is to mediate disputes 
  232. between ASP members and their customers. The Ombudsman reports to the 
  233. Board situations where s/he feels Board action or knowledge is 
  234. appropriate.

  236. All ASP Members and Associate Members are required to cooperate with the 
  237. Ombudsman when so requested.

  252. This program is a shareware release.  It is designed and marketed as a DOS 
  253. standalone program but appears to run fine when launched from Windows 3.1.
